Celebrate Diversity

A Course in Miracles says: “nothing we see means anything”, and yet we put labels on everything. We need to give meaning to things so we can conceptualise them according to our understanding and perception of the world.
The issue is when those beliefs and ideas are challenged. Each and every single human being is a world of their own. We are very unique... we are unique in our biochemistry... our DNAs are unique to us, which somehow makes us very special and yet very different from one another.
We live in a diverse world though. We have many different types of fish... many different types of plants... many different types of spiders...and guess what... many different types of humans... we have women... we have men... we have black... white... Asian... Gay... Lesbian... Muslim... Jewish... Transsexual... Transgender... Catholic... Buddhist... blind... deaf... autistic... you name it! Or should I say: you label it!
And nothing we see means anything and yet we have given everything we see in this world all the meaning that it has for us.

So now, why on Earth would God have created such a diverse world?
Why would He have created diversity? Mind bogus... so we can hate each other?
Or simply learn how to love?
It’s easy to love someone that thinks just like yourself, that share the same values and ideas but if they think differently is impossible to even tolerate.
How come animals that seem to have no intellect can co-habitate in this world so harmoniously and human beings that are considered to be so intelligent can be so prejudiced and intolerable towards each other?
How come God loves and accept us with all our differences and imperfections and we are incapable to realise that being unique doesn’t make us a threat or wrong in the eyes of God.
We are unique and different but we are the same in the eyes of God, we are God’s children.
If God in all his love, compassion and justice loves us for who we are, unconditionally, why we feel so superior and so much better than others that we think that we are always right and our understanding of life should prevail. What makes us believe that we are the only ones who hold the truth?
Nobody rules truth. Only God does.
