Being in touch with your feelings

I've always found very difficult to be so close and friendly with my own feelings. Being close to my feelings meant losing control, and I don't particularly like losing control, being vulnerable, letting go, and allowing the Universe to take charge. But let's be honest, sweeping those feelings under the rug doesn't make life any easier. So pretending that you have no feelings or avoiding it impedes you to grow.

Throughout the years I became a real master at keeping my feelings inside and couldn't really face them as I should. The only result of that was a lot of discomfort, and at times, even health issues.

Having to deal with things that you cannot clearly understand, you can't control, things that you cannot touch or grasp can be very scary considering that we feel more comfortable when we know something  for real rather than being unsure because uncertainty makes us uneasy.

The truth is that feelings are meant to be felt, and felt really deeply. That is what makes us humans. Once we recognise our own feelings it is easier to deal with them. They become more tangible.

At the end of the day it's all a matter of perspective, and what you do after you recognise them, how you will act on it in the real world. If you embrace your feelings in a negative way it can be a real disaster because you get caught up to emotions that can reflect on your body in a damageful way however if you embrace your feelings in a positive way you will create a great environment in your soul for you to grow. It's beautiful and powerful!!!

I can feel your pain, I've been there many times, and trust me when I say that.

Being in touch with our feelings is an everyday practice in order to live in harmony with the self.

Therefore self awareness is fundamental for the health of our emotions which are generated by our thoughts and feelings. When we develop a better perception of the way we feel we become more conscious of the causes of our conflicts, we develop better self control, which allow us to self transform, and finally find harmony within ourselves.
